Actress Rupali Ganguly rose to fame with her spectacular performance as Monisha in the sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. She then returned to TV with a bang again and this time as Anupamaa she wins hearts. Her character for her compassion and love became the highlight of the series. However, playing the lead role in the Anupamaa show at a time when there is a pandemic situation in the country comes at a huge cost.
In a conversation with BT, Rupali explains how in the past three months since she started shooting, has not even been able to touch her seven-year-old son Rudransh. She said, “I’m afraid to touch my son. When I come back from the shoot, I take a shower and then immediately put on a mask and go to my room where I live in isolation. And after I left for the shoot in the morning, my room was properly disinfected. All this new normal is very strange to me. Becoming all touching, adding, “Not a single day in the last seven years of Rudransh’s birth happened that he slept away from me.” I’m so used to having him by my side. But I can’t do this now.
